Held in the state-of-the-art arena-sized Studio 005 on campus at Production Park, family, friends, supporters, and industry partners came together to celebrate 61 students from our undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs.

The event saw the culmination of hard work, dedication and passion for the live events and entertainment industry celebrated with applause, laughter and the obligatory hat toss to round it all off.

The production team behind this year’s graduation ceremony is yet another testament to the highly skilled, creative and technical prowess of our students and committed staff. Studio 005 was transformed into a fantastic backdrop to the commemorative affair.

As well as celebrating the success of our graduates, the awards ceremony offers the Academy of Live Technology an opportunity to recognise a member of our wider community who has made a significant contribution to the industry by awarding an Honorary Fellowship. This year’s recipient was Sarah Rushton-Reed in recognition of her dedication to equality, equity & environmental practises across the breadth of the live events and entertainment industry.

With thanks to Dr Bill Webster, Assistant Vice Chancellor of the University of Bolton, for formally opening and closing our degree awards ceremony on behalf of our validation partner.

A special mention and continued thanks go to our industry partners. Who provide outstanding access to the very latest and leading technological advancements in equipment, software and kit and offer incredible support to the educational experience for all our students. 

The Academy of Live Technology's graduation ceremony of 2023 served as a testament to the institution's commitment to nurturing visionary technologists, creative leaders and drivers of our incredible live events and entertainment industry.
