Major Project Showcase - The Wisteria Project
In the first special Major Project showcase, a group of final year students created an immersive and interactive installation that supported a fantastic local charity, Wakefield Hospice.
Immediately greeted by a cornucopia of colours, textures and magical objects, The Wisteria Project transported you to a wholly other place, where you could most certainly lose track of all time – this was a true escapist space!
The students invited the audience to be transported to a mythical forest, filled with interactivity that allowed them to control the lighting for a unique experience. By stepping on pads, the audience could trigger different soundscapes and audio tracks to create a change in the atmosphere.
Hidden gems and treasures were placed throughout the experience to give a sense of exploration and intrigue, inviting the audience to interact even further with the installation and its contents.
