The Access Through Clearing Bursary aims to support the late entry into higher education for mature students and ethnic minority students with dedicated financial support for their first year.
The bursary is part of an ongoing commitment by the Academy of Live Technology to support students who are typically underrepresented both within the creative industries and higher education.
Rachel Nicholson, Head of Institution at the Academy of Live Technology, said:
“Supporting the next generation of talent is integral to our values at the Academy of Live Technology. We are dedicated to training the live experience professionals of the future, equipping them with the skills and experience needed for a rapidly evolving industry.
We’re extremely proud to be able to offer financial support to students who are joining us through Clearing. This bursary enables students who frequently remain underrepresented within the creative industries and higher education to explore and achieve their full potential in a dedicated learning environment.
The first year of study is incredibly important for transitioning into higher education. We need to support students any way we can, so they can focus on immersing themselves into our creative community and the industry that surrounds them.”
Students who are eligible for the Access Through Clearing Bursary will be awarded £1,000 in their first year of study.
Financial support is part of the Academy of Live Technology’s wider Access and Participation Plan to improve equality of opportunity for underrepresented groups to access, succeed and progress through higher education.
