Ahmad Iqbal Haider, Bangladesh

Ahmad Iqbal Haider  is the Artistic Director and Designer of the  Theatre Institute Chattogram in Bangladesh and Education Commission Official Delegate of OISTAT Centre Bangladesh. 

Faiz Zahir, Bangladesh

Faiz Zahir is Director & Designer of  Bangladesh Centre for Theatre Arts and Design BACTAD, Bangladesh OISTAT Centre. Also acting as General Secretary and Executive Committee. Faiz is also Chief Secretary of Aranyak Nattya Dal (Aranyak Group Theatre). Convener, Network of Emerging Arts Professionals NEAP, ITI Bangladesh Centre. Technology Commission Official Delegate of OISTAT Centre Bangladesh.          

Marina Raytchinova, Bulgaria

Raytchinova is a Scenographer and Associate professor at the Department of Scenography, NAA in Sofia, Bulgaria. Other teaching credits include the National Academy for Theatre and Film in Sofia and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, USA. Design credits include sets and costumes for over 170 shows for companies in Bulgaria and abroad. Formerly Chair of OISTAT Education Commission (2004-2012). Member of OISTAT Executive Committee (2013 – 2021).     

Martin Högg, Germany

Högg is the CEO of HOAC Schweißtechnik GmbH company, Germany; he is the Team leader region West DTHG. Martin is also member of board Theatertechnische Gesellschaft and Lecturer at Event Academia Baden Baden.  

Heikki Örn, Finland

Örn is a technical director at Espoo Theatre, Finland. His artistic work consists of lighting and projection designs, including drama, musicals and opera. In his current position he’s a member of Espoo new theatre building design group.    

Bastiaan Schoof, Netherlands

Schoof is a senior lecture in lighting design at the Design & Technology department at the University of Arts Amsterdam. He is a lighting designer creating lighting art installations in public spaces. After working for who worked for 10 years  at the Amsterdam Light Festival, until 2021, he founded his own lightart- exhibition in Utrecht - I Light U. Member of the Dutch Institute of Light Design, iLo.     

Majekodunmi Femi Benjamen, Nigeria

Femi Benjamen graduated from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University with BA (Hons) in Dramatic Arts and MA (Hons) at premier University of Ibadan in Theatre Arts. He worked for 18 years as a lighting designer and operator for the Africa largest private media DAAR COMMUNICATIONS PLC ABUJA NIGERIA - owners of African Independent Television and Raypower Radio. Femi has a registered company named FEMFOLK PRODUCTIONS where he trains young people on the art of stage productions, event entertainment and television production lighting. 

Anders Larsson, Sweden

Larsson is manager and Lecturer in Technical Management of Productions at the Performing Arts department at Stockholm University of the Arts – SKH. Anders Larsson has worked as theatre technician and lighting designer in the Performing Arts sector since mid-1980s. Between 1990 and 2004, Anders Larsson worked as the lighting director at the House of Dance (Dansens hus) in Stockholm responsible for adapting guest performances from around the world to the stage at Dansens hus. He has also been lighting designer for a number of major productions for dance, opera and theatre. Anders also serves in the board of the Swedish Theatre Technical Association - STTF . OISTAT Education Commission Vice-Chair.    

Joshua C McIntosh, USA/ Canada

McIntosh is the Academic Department Manager for Production and Operations in Fine Arts at the University of Alberta, Canada. Previously he was the Technical and Safety Director for Houston Grand Opera, TD at Seattle Opera and TD for other venues around the US after many years working on Broadway, in Las Vegas and on National Tours. He is presently serving as the Interim Treasurer for the National Board of CITT/ICTS and sits on the Board of Directors for the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton.  

William Kenyon, USA

Kenyon is Head of the Lighting Design Program in the School of Theatre at Penn State, USA. Prof. Kenyon has designed over 200 plays, operas, and dances, along with over a dozen national and international tour seasons with several theatre & dance companies.  Also working as a scenic & projections designer, sound designer, technical director & stage manager. He has been involved in Native American theatre & dance for over 25 years, serving as resident Lighting Designer for the American Indian Dance Theatre, involved in reimagining of Unto These Hills, outdoor spectacle celebrating the history of the Cherokee Nation. Loren Schreiber, USA

Chair of OISTAT Technology Commission. Professor Emeritus, Director of Technology - School of Theatre, Television, and Film. San Diego State University, San Diego, California. Loren’s area of special interest and research is stage automation. He manages the San Diego Theatre Arts Research Laboratory (STAR Lab), a facility dedicated to the development of special effects and specialized machinery for theatre. Recent STAR projects include the scenery automation for the Dallas Opera and San Diego Opera co-production of the Magic Flute, and the San Diego Opera’s production of Wozzeck. He has also consulted on automation projects for the La Jolla Playhouse, the South Coast Repertory Theatre, the American Conservatory Theatre, the Old Globe Theatre and other theatres and rigging companies nationwide.

Dr Tarik Ribh, Morocco

Dr Tarik Ribh is a research scenographer laureate of the ISADAC - Higher Institute of Dramatic Art and Cultural Animation, in Rabat where he is a deputy director responsible for continuing training and internships at ISADAC. In parallel with his professional involvement with several theater groups, he completed a master's degree in theater studies at the Ibne Toufail University in Kénitra, with research on: “scenography and its fields” and PhD in theater studies on “street theater in Morocco”. Tarik is also Artistic director and co-founder of the International “Thé-Arts” Festival, in Rabat. Awarded and nominated from several festivals, nationally and in the Arab world, in scenography and costume design. Member of OISTAT. 

Professor April Viczko, Canada

Professor Viczko has worked on over 100 productions during the last 30 years. April is a Department Chair, University of Alberta, Canada. She is a full member and past president of the Associated Designers of Canada. April is the project lead for World Stage Design 2022, which was co-hosted with CITT/ICTS at the University of Calgary. In 2000, she received a Tyrone Guthrie Award at the Stratford Festival of Canada, where she spent four seasons as an assistant designer. At UCalgary, April has received multiple awards for her teaching and research. April apprenticed in Rome, Italy with Scenotecnia Piu’, a company known for its fine craftsmanship and majestic scenography.

Professor Matt Kizer

Professor Kizer is the coordinator of the Theatre Program for Plymouth State University, has designed national tours, theatres, and universities internationally. Presented workshops for institutions, including the Cyprus OISTAT Centre, the National Opera Association, World Stage Design, and the Prague Quadrennial. Vice-Chair of OISTAT Education Commission.  

JR Luker, USA

Luker is a Technical Director & Asst. Professor at California State University Fullerton who archives the past with reality capture technologies. Active member of OISTAT Technology Commission.    

Chris Van Goethem, Belgium

Goethem became a stage manager through self-training and toured with many companies throughout Europe. He expanded his field to include teaching and consultancy in technical theatre.  He advised on the development of professional profiles and qualifications, safety policy and training policy. His research field is the history of technical theater as a source of innovation. His research field is the history of technical theater as a source of innovation. Van Goethem is an internationalist and proud member of OISTAT.  Vice-Chair of OISTAT Education Commission.
